A few words about us...
Kitchen Pasta brings Italy to your table.
Pizza Rimo
It was in 1996 when the then 23-year-old George Metaxas, together with his wife Liana, created and operated Pizza Rimo, a very small shop only for delivery and take away. Pizza Rimo soon became a hit throughout the city. With the demand for even more delicious options, the menu grew and new products were soon added, such as salads and baked pasta in a clay oven. The shop was renamed Pizza Metaxa and continued to become even more popular, mainly driven by prompt service, top and consistent quality of ingredients and a family environment.
Pasta Metaxa
In 2006, the company Pasta Metaxa (now Pieri Gusti) was created, perhaps the first modern fresh pasta production unit in the country.
With an emphasis on Greek raw materials and the promotion of Greek gastronomy, we managed to combine traditional Italian stuffed pasta (Tortelloni, Ravioli) with Greek P.D.O. products such as feta cheese, anthotyro, soured cheese, apaki, extra virgin olive oil, etc. Within a few years, the range of fresh pasta was enriched with other pastas such as Spaghetti alla Chitarra, Garganelli, Tagliatelle, etc.
Kitchen Pasta
2017 is the milestone year, Pizza Metaxa, after 21 years, is turning off its ovens and turning a new page in its history. The small shop is growing, transforming into a restaurant and moving a few meters next door to a much larger space where it will house a new gastronomic culture with new products and a new approach to the city's Italian cuisine. The family's vision was to create an original cuisine for the city, which would have as its main characteristics the authentic Italian slow-ripening pizza with sourdough and our fresh pasta production, combined with quality Italian and local raw materials. The biggest challenge for the new restaurant was to pass on the gastronomic education and culture of fresh pasta to the city's consumer public, thus the Pasta Kitchen was created. Features such as the open kitchen, the ability for customers to watch the cooking, the industrial and rustic style of the restaurant with the use of gray styles and warm materials such as wood, create a warm and modern atmosphere in the space, which, combined with the quality food, create a unique dining experience.
